Case Summary
Location:
Sandy, Utah
Systems Installed:
Enterprise CCTV system
Enterprise Avigilon door access system
DSI was presented with the issue on site that suite doors were being manned for entrance and people were still entering unauthorized. Together with DSI operations team and Rio Tinto’s head of security, a plan to implement barcode scanners on suite entrances came to light. Each ticket had a barcode already on it, so why not use that. With the correct system programming and hardware installation, this concept grew into reality. Not only do we secure suite entrances, but offices, building entrances, and locker rooms are secured with this system and badge readers. The Enterprise Avigilon door access system has been integrated across the board at the stadium and team stores.
At a venue the size of Rio Tinto, there are safety concerns that present alongside vandalism and theft. With a state of the art enterprise CCTV system, the number of incidents has been cut drastically down. The 40+ camera system covers the venue as well as the outlying team stores.
With these 2 systems in place, both being Avigilon, the integration between the 2 continues to grow. Knowing who is and has been where in the venue is a challenge without these systems. Analytics play a large role in this system to track and identify possible threats.
As Rio Tinto grows, so does the partnership we have formed with them.
